Job Description: Aircraft Manufacturing Engineer
The Aircraft Manufacturing Engineer is a key role within the Aviation and Aerospace industry, specifically in the field of Aeronautical Engineering. This position primarily focuses on supporting the aircraft manufacturing process, ensuring the production of safe, reliable, and high-quality aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for aircraft production.
2. Conduct comprehensive analysis of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
3. Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, including sequence of operations, bill of materials, and tooling requirements.
4. Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
5. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to identify and implement effective corrective actions.
6. Design and develop assembly processes, jigs, fixtures, and tooling for aircraft components and systems.
7. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components, adhering to strict aviation industry standards.
8. Conduct periodic audits and inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
9. Collaborate with engineering teams to review and provide input for design changes, ensuring manufacturability and producibility.
10. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality control plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in aircraft manufacturing, preferably in an engineering role.
3. Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and industry regulations.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
5. Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
6. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions.
8. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
